In 1925, the architecturally designed home by Samuel Maclure underwent extensive renovations in 1997, skillfully executed by local Victoria designer Bruce Wilkin. Nestled on a serene lane amidst well-established gardens and towering fir trees, this residence still retains its timeless charm, much akin to its appearance nearly a century ago. Notably, the front of the house exudes a sense of modesty, while the rear portion gracefully opens up to a private, meticulously landscaped formal garden. Upon entering, a striking first impression unfolds within the arched central hallway, adorned with walls featuring a striated yellow pattern and a captivating silver leaf ceiling. Throughout the home, fir and oak floors add warmth and character. The renovated kitchen, complete with a coffered ceiling, seamlessly combines contemporary sensibilities with an antique aesthetic. The master en suite echoes the kitchen's cabinet design, showcasing elegant granite countertops and chrome knobs.The formal living room bathes in natural light, thanks to its well-placed windows, and features a propane insert for added comfort. Maintaining its historical authenticity, the original radiators continue to provide warmth and charm to this cherished home. A sunroom adorned with a gilded gold finish boasts slate flooring and offers picturesque views. This home is thoughtfully designed with a formal dining room adorned with leaded glass built-ins, a cozy sitting room featuring antique cupboards, and an additional fireplace insert nestled beneath an intricately carved fir mantel. Upstairs the house has a 3rd bedroom and 4 pc bath. Outside features a private lot with a delightful English garden plus lovely southeast views of Mt.Baker to McNeill Bay.The Maclure home maintains its original charm while being effortlessly livable.

About

Brent enjoys helping others buy and sell their homes. When you sell, the focus is to get you the most money, in the shortest time, with as little work and stress as possible. When you buy, it's about working hard to help you find the home of your dreams at the best price, with the least risk and stress.

When you work with Brent, you'll always have his expertise, advice and skills available around the clock. You'll never end up dealing with some junior assistant. He’ll personally ensure you know the pros and cons of every decision you make throughout the entire process, so you can confidently decide what’s best for you. Every time you call you'll always be talking to Brent, and it's always about what works best for you.

While Real Estate is Brent's life, his interests and hobbies provide exceptional extra value. When he's not focused on helping people like you buy and sell their homes, he can be found;

  1. Refining his public speaking skills at Toastmasters or other volunteer events. Brent enjoys the thrill of educating and entertaining a crowd from the front of a room. He offers the kind of confidence and posture you want in your corner, negotiating on your behalf.
  2. Researching and investigating new technologies that will allow him to be more effective at helping all his clients. Brent was a computer nerd as early as middle school in 1980. He went on to manage computer operations for a medium size telecommunications company while completing his B.Comm. in Finance in the late 80s and early 90s. He has the technical knowledge to give his clients many advantages throughout the buying and selling process, and his services are improving all the time.
  3. Studying world financial, capital, and asset markets. In fact, Brent as a CFA charter holder volunteers his time helping CFA candidates earn their CFA charter. It's important to Brent because the CFA charter is one of the most respected designations in the world of finance, and most importantly, the CFA Institute makes educating the industry about ethics one of its primary missions. The initials C.F.A. refer to Chartered Financial Analyst. To earn your charter, you must first complete an extremely rigorous graduate level program that focuses on ethics in the financial world, asset and investment valuation, asset allocation, forensic accounting, economics, and many other areas of investment analysis. It also covers the workings of world financial, capital, currency, debt, derivative, and asset markets to name a few. This knowledge gives Brent insights on how world events and international markets may impact the local real estate market. While no market is highly predictable, Brent's general knowledge of markets and various analytical skills help him offer many insights to clients just like you.
  4. Playing golf, travelling, reading, hiking, or socializing with family, new friends, and life long friends from his days at Royal Oak Middle School and Claremont Secondary School.

Brent has personally developed his many systems for buying and selling real estate. It's all designed to get you the best deal, with the least effort from you, while minimizing your risk and stress.

Work with Brent, and you'll soon see why many people consider Brent their best friend in real estate. It's been his life for close to two and a half decades.
