About Dan...

I have lived in the Cowichan Valley most of my life (since 1980) and absolutely love it! Beautiful trees, ocean, lakes, rivers, mountains, great fishing and four distinct seasons...ahhhhhhh. Does it get any better? I attended Tansor Elementary, Mt Prevost & Cowichan Senior Secondary right here in the Cowichan Valley. I married my beautiful wife Sue in 1994 and we have 3 really awesome kids! :o)

Dan has been in the "people business" for years and is a strong yet very friendly and experienced negotiator. He's lived in the Cowichan Valley most of his life and can give you honest feedback about various areas. This business (or most businesses for that matter) is more about people than anything else. People want service and people want you to "hear" what they're saying. Dan asks questions and then listens carefully so that he can help YOU get what YOU want. "Personally, I have a long term goal. My goal is not just to sell your home for you or help you buy a home, it's to have you become a very happy client who will gladly refer me to your friends and family."

My Business Experiences...

When I was 23 yrs old I started a hot air balloon business giving people rides in our 4 man balloon. That was a really cool business but it didn't last long. Myself and my other two business partners lacked the experience & patience necessary to make it work long term. After that I worked with the mentally challenged for 8 yrs right here in the Cowichan Valley and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a great experience and very rewarding.

Most of my business experience is in networking and the communications industry. I worked with an International Telecom company from 1999 - 2004 and had the opportunity to travel throughout North America & Europe building their customer base and training their representatives. I learned a lot about customer service and people as well as the importance of effective and regular communication. I also learned a lot about building teams where people worked together to achieve common goals.

Anyone buying a home on Vancouver Island is making a fantastic investment. The economy here is not affected by any particular resource because it's one of the most beautiful places on earth to live. People move to Vancouver Island because they WANT to live here and not because they HAVE to.

In 2010 Dan was awarded Top 5% of the entire company of over 260 realtors and given the coveted Cuthbert Holmes award.
