I came to Salt Spring Island from California where I had lived off the grid for 16 years on a mountain top in Mendocino County. Having that experience has given me an uncompromising view of a renewable lifestyle. From passive solar building methods to water conservation, to alternative energy systems, my aim in life is to make a smaller footprint whenever possible. Salt Spring Island is the perfect place to engage in this lifestyle with its abundant sunshine, rainfall, Mediterranean climate, and knowledge base.
